DO A SEARCH, NEWBIE!
This has been covered several times. But just to be nice, you'll need both manifolds and a custom crank position sensor, which involves a new, custom harmonic balancer. It's not a simple swap.

you don't need custom crap for the CPS to operate properly.
go to J/U and do a search there on this swap (believe it or don't)

I'm not going to JU to do a search. But I would be interrested to know how you work the crank position sensor if not for some custom harmonic balancer or flywheel. (Last I cehcked the balancer off the 4.0 wouldn't fit the 4.2 crank, but I could be wrong.)

shall I hold the toilet paper for you, too?:flipoff2:
1) have you bellhousing drilled for the CPS. Novak does is for $50
2) drill the trigger voids into a stock 4.0L damper, just like the bastards at Hesco do. the easiest way to do this is to buy the damper from someone, copy the holes, and send it back fora refund.

Cool! You learn something new each day! Too bad I already swapped to a SBC for the affordable EFI. :D

Your bell-housing should already have the mount for the sensor. You could just install a 4.0 flywheel for the tone notches. Your existing flywheel has tone notches, but for the Renix system. If you feel up to a challenge, just use the Renix injection from a pre '90's XJ.
