: 15 inch rims on an 8 lug Ford 44

A guy I work with got a good deal on some 15s and found out they didnt fit. Can ford calipers be ground?

You can grind enough to fit steel wheels, not sure if you want to try Al. Yes you have to grind alot.

how much backspacing do the rims have....The ford 8-lug 44 uses the same breaks as a 60 and there was no way I could have ground enough on my 60 to get em' to fit. In order to get them on you would have to grind on the caliper bracket so much that there would be nothing to hold on the caliper.

Best way to do it is to get some 2.5" backspaced rims then ya don't need to grind at all.

Yeah it'll work on GM 44 calipers, thats what I have. I wasnt sure of the Ford calipers, because I heard you really cant grind a lot off of dual piston calipers and I've never seen it done. These are steel wheels
