This might not be the placed to ask, but its on a chevy motor. My factory in-tank fuel pump puts out 12-17 psi @ 35 gph. ( I have a 89 model TBI 350). If i were to put a external inline fuel pump at the same psi but @ 45 gph, what would be the downfall? if any? THANKS:D

none.
The pressure regulator is in the throttle body.
The inline pump I use is capable of 95psi. Doesn't mean it operates there.
