Working on a 87 commanche 6 cyl 4.0. New coil, Dist cap, control module rotor and pickup coil. Before I put in the new parts, the jeep would start, run till warm then quit. Will not restart. After installing the new electronics I can't keep spark, Any suggestions?

Well, if it ran before the work then I'd recheck everything you did.
But you probably did that already so throw a crank position sensor at it and see if it sticks. Or just unplug and replug the one you have, 1/2 the time that'll get them to fire up.

CRANKSHAFT POSITON SENSOR!!!!

and you can check it easily with a multimeter.

it sits on the bellhousing down on the driver's side, there's a 3 pin connector coming off of it, has only two wires, you'll find the connector near the firewall right around where the back of the intake bolts on to the head.

the sensor should have around 200 ohms of resistance. if it's shorted or open, replace it.

try to start it today, and see if it runs. check the sensor, then warm it up until it quits, and check the sensor again. you'll probably find it reads infinite resistance after it warms up (circuit open)
