What I mean to say is, since the Olds 403 I have in the garage has a B.O.P. boltpattern on the back of the motor (as opposed to chevy), is there an adaptor that will allow me to use it with one of the tranny/T-case setups that are commonly used in Jeeps?
Understand, I'm not talking about buying a TJ and dropping the olds in. I'm talking about building up from a frame and picking & choosing parts as I go.

You could use and BOP bellhousing with a Chevy manual trans, or a BOP TH400 with a Dana 20 from a Jeepster or J-truck, or the Buick V6 adapted TH400 and Dana 20 from a V6 Jeepster, or a T14, or you can get a $27 sheetmetal adapter from summit to bolt any chevy bellhousing to your BOP engine

Chevy and BOP bellhousings use the same pattern on the transmission side of the bellhousing - so get to work :D
Lakewood bellhousing........ then you are set.

Dana Corporation recently sold the Lakewood division to a company called Power-Pro Racing products and from what I understand Power-Pro drastically cut back the product line and jacked the hell out of the prices.

OK, this is some good news...
I have this 403 that I don't want to just get rid of because it was a good running motor before I had an accident but I didn't really like my choices in cars to put it into.
Either I didn't really like the car or it came with a better engine already. (like a 455)
But they make real good low end power and don't like to be revved so it'll probably be real good in a jeep. And believe it or not they are only 25lbs heavier than a chevy SB.
