Im looking for any info on making a CJ or YJ hardtop fit a TJ. Has anyone done this or know where i can find the info to do it??

Its seems it would be more trouble than its worth. I think the TJ body is a little wider. Not sure though. Never heard of someone do it though. If you have a CJ top already maybe sell it and buy a TJ top?

My buddy put a CJ7 hard top on his TJ. The main problem is the door tops and windshield top don't line up very well. But the thing went on better than we thought. I think he runs around with a ratchet strap holding it on for now. Silliness.

lets just say dont cause i had that dumb idea the doors work fine its the wind sheild and top that dont match also the under rail thing you soft top hooks into the CJ top smashes that cause cjs use button snaps not the under rail. any way were the top and window meet there will be an air gap and is obnoxous but other than that its fine you also cant use the rear glass hatch my brake light were the spare tire is the hatch would hit it so yea dont im saving you trobles and dont try and cut the top and windsheild meets make it even worse.

Short version is that it won't work well without lots of work... That's why tj tops are so expensive.
