I was just informed that the current map posted on the Nevada County website has the Fordyce listed as a hiking trail. Basically, in the legend there is a symbol for an OHV staging area but nothing to denote an OHV trail.

You want to talk about creating users conflict!

There are many other problems. The single track south of Highway 20 is listed as hiking. Please check the map for other possible mistakes.

I was hoping someone living in Nevada Count would contact them and ask them to remove the map from the website or correct the map ASAP.

Weird. They don't even have a symbol for OHV trail on the map key.

I'm surprised that nobody has stepped up to walk in to the office and say, "this is wrong, it will cause problems, fix it."

I've noticed this before, and sadly did nothing about it but put it on my to-do list :-(

I have left a message with the Community Development Admin, Parks and Rec Planner. Her name is Larkin. I stated the issue clearly in my message and left my # for a return call.

they probably just messed up and mixed up the current map with what they have planned for later.
