are there different types of steering u-joints for the 60?
I was quoted $32 for some (spicers)and had heard that they would be more expensive. like $70-

am I supposed to be looking for a certain model?

I was told theat they are a new style redesigned to be sronger as well as cheaper. I'm not complaning, just wonderin what's up?

The original replacement joint is a 5-332x which run about 70 bucks. You can run the pn SPL55-3x which are about 32 bucks. These are a snap-tite series joint that have better seals and a forged cross. The reason for the cost difference is the 5-332x is a dedicated wheel joint, where the SPL55-3x is used in drivelines as well as wheel joints.

Just that you already had the word of SixStates opn the prior post.

The snaptight seal so far has done no better or worse for me on keeping water out of the joint. I've broken one of the 5-760 sizes, but that may not have been the fault of the joint. Try the Snaptight, the price is right, and it can not be any worse.

Damn.... just got back from Napa, they are clueless down there, finally got the guy to call the warehouse and just order them (SPL55-3x) the warehouse had to like special order them or something, I still don't have the price yet, I hope they are under $40. <IMG SRC="smilies/eyemouth.gif" border="0">

any of them greasable? i know the 332s arent
