Here is a 35" Gumbo vs. a 37" MT/R...
http://pic5.picturetrail.com:80/VOL68/424839/468032/11084281.jpg

It fit with no mods besides trimming the fender flares and a little hammer work :D ....but I am going to add a leaf all around just to make sure. I put it on the forklift and it stuffs just the same as always without moving the bumpstops!

Under the front shaved 44 I now have a full 12" of clearance.

I can still lift the front tire well over 35" high straight up with the lift. :flipoff2:

I just pulled my extended shackles back off. I only have 5 degrees of caster, or so, and my extended shackles knocked that back to 1 or 2. no fun to drive that way for any distance.

But, then, I don't need them with my little 33's

I am running:

SOA = 7"
3/4 ton axles = 1/2" or so maybe
two inch longer shackles = 1"
two inch body lift and new body mounts = 2 1/2"
Custom pack in the back = 1/2"
About = 11 1/2" or so I guess...maybe less...going to add one leaf all around for a little piece of mind. :D

Also did these **little** things.

Rear perches have the hole moved rearward to center axle in wheel well = + points
Front axle has been cut and turned.
Shocks mounts are towers in front to limit stuff and the lower front is on top of the tube.
The rear axle lower shock has been lowered to the tube...upper rear is stock location...positioned to limit up movement.
Took a hammer to part of the fenders for a little more piece of mind in key spots.

Looks like its going to work perfectly...we shall see.

I really may consider those flares now. Cliff, check out your approach angle compared to that chebby. Oh & give us a "before the hack pic", preferably a side view also Cliff. I just want to see somethin. Im considering using my Skyjacker 4in leaves for my SOA on the d60's & dropping back to no lift shackles to fit my 38's TSL's. So if you could also measure the actual height you get from yer 37's it would help.

Actually I don't have much. Look for a thread by TSM1MT. He has a whole write-up on just the front fender. I did mine differently but his has info that's good to know before you start.

Here's what I have.

Above shows how high I cut in relation to where the inner fender drops.

Below Shows how it looks after I cut and bent the inner fender out *towars the outer fender* to fill the gap a little.

Also you might want to know that the bottom rear of the front fenders was a bitch to get cut that far back. At one point I was cutting through 3-4 layers of metal.

Just a question: Would the fender flares from that Chevy Blazer really fit on a Scout II if one were to cut it out correctly or is that just a "Paint-shop-pro" fit only?

I have been looking for a set of "Cut-Out" flares for my Scout, but as everybody knows, nobody makes them, and I have never seen anybody say that they have Chevy cut-outs on their Scout.

Thanks for the help

Actually I don't know for sure, I guess I should have measured my cut out fenders to the stock blazer fenders when I still had my blazer here. Oh well. Go over to www.coloradok5.com and ask them how big a First Gen blazer wheel opening is then I'll get my meaurements for ya. ;)

well I shouldn't say this, but I've had a few beers in me, I used a set of yj flares to help make the scout legal, since I'm running full width axles, they fit kinda:p
