Great pics, great time and a lot of fun for all. Thanks for not getting pics of the top of Anacanda ! Larry and Chad were a hoot to wheel with and spend quality time around the fire. Ben and companion were also a lot of fun, as were you and your super-model better half. Is there anything better than wheeling in great weather on 5 rated trails with good people ? I dont think so. Lets do it again....soon. Sam You are correct , we spent a couple of hours going up Collateral Damage.

Almost!
Looks like I missed a good trip. :(
My junk is getting close to being trail worthy again. Over the weekend I got my T-case almost finished but every time I look at it I find something else broken. It's together, and back in the rig, but I need to order an output flange tomorrow. The one I had got demolished when the rear output shaft let go. Looks like I need to rebuild my rear CV too. Got the rear 3rd almost built today, but I need some different pinion spacers to finish it up. With any luck the front third will be built up this week too. I'm hoping to get it out for a drive by this Sunday afternoon. Now with a Bobby Long rear output shaft, ARB's front and rear and a Trail Gear 5:29 ring and pinion in the rear third.
You guy's interested in doing a day run in Florence Saturday Feb 9th? I'm sick of wrenching!

It was a good run. I have a bunch more pics that I will post up when I get a chance. This is the first time that I put the vehicle on its side. I was able to just drive right out of it.

How FTOY friendly is the AZ +5 trails? I've seen Arizonarockcrawler's DVD's and definetly want to head down there and have some fun. Just don't want to be a trail tampon.

We should set up an Ftoy wheeling get together down there :)

Heck yea, this is a really tight year but we can always call in sick. The only way to do it is to pencil in a date, then we will change it over and over till we all agree. pickone. Tim-Pat....I will check on the 2.9 date at this time we are open, sounds like fun.

I am out of town 2/9. I would be better to wheel in March. If we could really find a leader there are trails that are supposed to be pretty crazy. Just check out the mlk 2008 thread in general discussion. A flop is more then expected on those trails.

March is to soon for me to get down there. I'll probably have to wait till next winter/spring wheeling season with all the miles i have to log this year for Werock.

Maybe we can all meet up at the hammers the week after the first comp for some fun wheeling before the tinbender cleanup.

Mike, we dont get much water in AZ. so I was peeing my thong on that crossing. Water added a whole new hazard to some usual trails. And for the record, I winched Ben into a rollo, all was well after getting him righted but I still feel bad for trying to help. Im ready for a comp!!!!!

Yeah, that trail does look different with water.

I can't wait to have my rig ready for that area!

Where Ben broke was a very narrow wedge and and he wasnt really on it. Just planted the passenger front and bound it up, the Longfield gave it up. This trail is tough in dry conditions, running water makes it a 5++.

The buggy trails start at 6 and go up from there :grinpimp: If you do make the trip I'd plan on wheeling at TM first. If you can do all those trails (including Matrix) in a day then the MLK stuff will be enjoyable as opposed to tedious. A linked rear end will also be a big help. Once you get above the 5 rated trails you are dealing with a lot of verticals, so if your rig doesn't do those well it really takes the fun out of the trail and you may end up winching every obstacle.

You BTG guys are set up with much heavier parts than an FToy but I believe some of you started as Toyoya guys, I would really like to do some trails with you. If I cant keep up, thats okay with me. You guys rule TM and I just want to learn more trails. Thanks for the oppertunity to ride along, I will do my best to not be a trail Tampon. Sam

We all had Toyota running gear at some point so it's all good :smokin: Have you run Matrix yet? That trail is really a good yardstick, if you can drive every obstacle on that trail and make it out in around an hour then your rig is setup good for the next level. Right now we are trying to get stuff sorted out for the KOH deal but after that drop me a line and we'll go do some wheeling.....
