Went up to Frazier Park today. Quite a good bit of snow. Hungry Valley SVRA is closed, and so are Lockwood Creek Trail and Miller Jeep Trail. But, there are three trails open all off of Tecuya Drive. However, nobody could even get all the way up Tecuya Drive. There was a Suburban on something like 37s, locked on both ends, chains all around, and a winch, and they were even having trouble. (They didn't bother to stop and ask if any of the three seriously stuck vehicles wanted a tug either :mad3: )

Best part of the trip was the stepper controlled Carter BBD performing great the whole 120 miles today even in freezing weather. What a miracle.

Anyway, here are the pics. (http://cpprosefloat.org/images/frazier_park_1-27-08/)

There's some good wheelin up there if anyone is looking for somewhere to go this week.

Here's me pretty stuck. Open diffs. A shovel and a high lift got me out.

lucky you guys got out with just a shovel and jack. I ALWAYS make sure fellow wheelers are ok when I pass them. Thats pretty lame of them. do you have any more info on this trail? I was up there over my winter break but just went to the top of mt. Pinos to play in the snow a bit.

where is this at?5 freeway exit Frazier Park Mountain Road. Head west. We were hoping to go on Lockwood Creek Trail NF-8N12 but it was closed. All the pics were taken on Tecuya Drive (which is an unpaved road leading to three trails.) I'll find out those trail numbers tomorrow.

We (myself and three Jeeps) might head up on Saturday Meet at the Flying Js at 800am to group up and find some trails.

I'm working on finishing up a few things on the truck this week but if I get them finished, would the group mind one more tag along

Made a slight mistake in describing my location. These pics were on Tecuya Drive off of Cuddy Valley Road. So, I guess Tecuya drive is more like a dirt road that was all snowed in than an actual trail. :-D If you keep going further west on Cuddy Valley Road, you get to 9N22 which leads to 9N19 and 9N53. The ranger said if you carry on north on 9N19 it is a black diamond trail, for anyone looking for a good run. For anyone looking for info, the ranger station is down lockwood valley road. If anyone wants, I can probably take a picture of the map and put it up online, later tonight perhaps.
