: I have a problem with CLORV

Cut and dried, I don't like some of the politicians they have endorsed. Some of these people are pretty liberal.

In 2000, I e-mailed them that I had a problem concerning this and why did they endorse the people they did. They explained to me that these people were incumbents and had shown a tendency to vote pro land use. Yet, in one election, they endorsed the incumbent and the guy running against the same politician was a gearhead, was conservative and a fairly stand up type of guy. Basically, they told me they had not researched the candidates before the election and went with what they had, which I think is not a good way to do business.

Some of these incumbents, like I said before are pretty liberal and on other issues such as gun control and taxes, plan give it to us in the butt. Personally, I see a big crossover in philosphies such as off roading, gun rights and taxes and believe that a coalition of groups should come together and stand up and fight for our rights.

Now that I've said that, I want your thoughts on this subject since my club is voting on who we are going to join next.

I agree, but we're all human. I'm not defending their mistake, but maybe they honestly didn't know, which is why input from everyone is essential. I couldn't tell you a thing about the politicians outside my distric, hell sometimes I can't even keep track of the ones in my district.....So when you come across something like that -- let them know and let everyone else know what the problems are and then people can make an educated decision instead....

As for joining an orginazation, that's going to have to be decided by your club...maybe a list of who you belong to right now would help us give you some suggestions to research?

also check the "places to get current land use info" post in this forum and check out some of the groups in there...

BRC is the first group we joined. We just started the club up not too long ago.

Our vote is due tomorrow and it probably looks like I'm not going to have enough info on CLORV so I'll probably vote for the other organization.

I'm just worried because the first time I said anything to anyone with CLORV, they made me feel like I didn't count. Now that it looks like we will be joining them, and after seeing some of the names that are with CLORV, are they gonna listen? I've said my piece to my club and some of them didn't know what I knew. Plus I've seen who CLORV has endorsed already for this year and I'm still not so sure about them. I guess if enough people raise their voices enough, then they might listen.
