:smokin: Working on the steering...I'm using a HP 44 with Jeep J20 knuckles. I need a tie rod end that fits with the correct taper and 3/4-16 thread on ends. Left side needs to be with a stabilizer hole or taper hole to connect the drag link. Also need the R&L end for the drag link. Where can I find these specs...from a cross manual? I need either vehicle models or part numbers.

Napa p/n 269-2191 and 269-2192--they're off a '72 Chevy pickup, no taper hole for the stabilizer/draglink, and they're the only thing in my Napa book that matches taper and thread. Why 3/4-16? 7/8-18, you're much better off.
My McQuay-Norris book concurs, ES375L/ES375R, again, no extra hole, but matches the taper.
If you can work with 7/8-18 instead, you can use ES2233L and ES2234R--they're mid-80's Chevy Blazer/pickup tierod ends, and the 2233L has a stabilizer hole that works well for attaching draglinks.

The reason was that I already have the 3/4-16 weld in bungs that also fit the tubr I have. I guess that I could use the tube and tap it....the taps are costly though.

Chark,
Only two TRE's that are 3/4-16, both are different, both are shown in the steering pages on my site. Can't remeber taper - but it will be listed there. Be advised - one has a "dog leg", and....awww hell - just go surf da page

The ES150L/R rod ends are pretty nice... and they're CHEAP! The one thing I don't like about em is that they have the zerk fittings on the side of the end instead of the top. So, on my passenger side I have one left and one right threaded end with the zerk fittings on the opposite side or they're hit.
