I have read the rules
from the 2007 rule book
"Must use oem Toyota Pickup/4Runner knuckles"

but I have also seen two ftoys with the 6 studs so I figd id ask

By removing the 2 additional studs from the 6 shooter knuckles, it becomes the exact same configuration as a stock knuckle. Because of this, we decided to allow it.

After a year and a half of comps, if you just check the nuts on a regular basis you will be fine, we have never had an issue with this, just so you know.
