I picked up a new Spyderco Native a couple of weeks ago ad can't seem to break the action in.
Its all stainless, and the pivot point (correct term?) is stiff as hell.
Are there any tricks to making this wear in a little quicker?
I heard about a gritty solution that does the trick, but don't know the name.
Thanks in advance.

Just sit down to watch the super bowl and fuck with it the whole game, it will loosen up.

I've used valve grinding compound (http://www.midwayautosupply.com/pc-14290-478-permatex-valve-grinding-compound-15-oz-tube-80036.aspx) (gritty solution) on a set of rusty fishing plyers. Not sure I'd try it on an expensive knife though. Like Cue-Ball wrote, just sit around opening and closing it and it should free up.

Buy a Benchmade. Problem solved. Mine pivoted with the perfect amount of effort when I bought it, and still does months later. :flipoff2:
