Does anyone know if the knuckles from a 95 TTB will fit on a 78 solid D44?? I would like to have the bolt on calipers instead of the pin type. The two use the same lower ball joint, and the upper is the same outer diameter on the two, except one is a bit longer than the other. Also, are there any obvious weaknesses i'm missing in assuming that they're the same strength? They use the same inner and outer bearings and hubs. I believe the rotors are the same too but not positive. Thx.

A TTB knuckle will not bolt onto a solid axle. Same for the spindles. If you want to upgrade brakes, get the knuckle out from a chevy 10 bolt or if you want to upgrade to a 8 lug, then the knuckle out off a f250, or 8 lug suburban or 3/4 ton chevy with the solid axle. Either route will gain you better brakes.
