porterwagner 02-03-2008, 08:05 PM sick pictures. i even saw one of my rig in there getting unstuck.. tahaha. thanks for the tug lone wolf, and hey, I didn't get lost in the blizzards and i didn't even get to stay the night in the snowcave, we ran out of beer. yeaaaaaah.
mxracer33x 02-04-2008, 06:53 AM Heres a link to the video we took. Pretty weak, but better than nothing. This was heading out Scout Rd. The snow got deep but traction was great under the trees so we pushed till we realized noone was following anymore.

75ChevyScotts 02-04-2008, 08:24 AM The "buried truck" was actually a burned out car of some sort. Someone's burn pile. You can see a burned matress in the pic too. We would never destroy someone's truck!

Can you identify about where this vehicle is located? So that we may work on getting it out. or identifying the owner? Your description sounds as if you may have been on private property, but most of the pictures indicate County Road from Inskip towards the Butte Meadows turn.
Thanks, -- PM if you'd rather

75ChevyScotts 02-04-2008, 11:09 AM I'm not exacly sure where it is because I'm not familar with the area. I can tell you that is was in a big clearing that was only about 1.5 miles from the skyway. There was al least one other car out there two, but it looked like it might still belong to someone so nobody trashed it. Maybe a few more but it's hard to tell what's what with snow that deep.
dangerous toy 02-04-2008, 11:16 AM i do a lot of snow wheeling in the northwest and am trying to decide on the ultimate snow tire, alot of guys around here run 38-1550 gumbos, very soft sidewall, they air down really nice. i noticed some of you were running the 40" mtr's, how do you like them in the snow?? im contemplating trying to run 44" cepeks for a deep snow only tire. lets have some input from fellow snow wheelers

i was doing really well with 37 mtrs. ive had them for awhile now and there great. i did notice though i would have trouble at points where guys with iroks would keep going. most of the people up there had iroks, there known for being a extremely good snow tire. id go with the 42s if i were you.
rmarfil 02-04-2008, 03:46 PM I few from Bambi Inn side.

anyone going up this weekend (2/9)? We're planning on going up for a ride on Saturday.
It's a long ride from San Jose. Any word on the weather? From down here it looks to be clear all week. I guess there will still be snow, but how busy does it get during the week? Do you think it will be all chewed up by then?
If you see a dark green mild '72 K5 give a wave.
