A jack would be the easiest way to lift it....or a power lifter. A phone call won't lift it........

In true hardcore tech fashion, I say coilovers front and rear with rocks on 54'' boggers :flipoff2:

A 64 foot scout? Is it 64 feet tall or long? I don't know how you would lift anything that big.

I searched. I didnt find a bolt on kit making it easier for me. thanks binderbound will be checking the leafs out. Ive searched the internet and only found lift kits for '71-'80. Mine is much older 1964 IH Scout I4 (rebuilt) Completely stock from bumper to bumper. Also had a PTO Winch. Thanks for the asshat comments guys keep em coming. :flipoff2:

There are some good examples of lifting a scout here Lift Kits (http://128.83.80.200/TACO/scarysteering6.html) Maybe you could get some good ideas.

Here are some more good ones Lift Kits R Us (http://128.83.80.200/taco/scarysteering.html)

It is not Tuesday yet. Here is your silver spoon. Now go learn like the rest of us. Build it, break it, bitch a little, and build it again.

Okay enough of pulling your leg. There are not any bolt in kits that are available for early Scouts. You could use a 55-75 jeep lift kit. But if you are planning on wheeling it they will not last. If you want to fab some parts the sky is the limit. But SII front springs will fit in the front quite nicely with a little work and can be made to work in the rear for a mall cruiser. Buy some springs from a YJ wrangler they are 2.5 inches wide same dimension front and rear and are available with a lifetime warranty with military wraps front and rear. I have no idea how these work on the 80/800. If you are going to do it you better get 8 stock springs to be able to customize your springs. 56" Blazer springs are a good fit in the rear with minor relocation of the spring hangers.

I sell the Mr. Scout 2.5" lift springs for that, they are $795 (springs, shocks, bushings, u-bolts) They are a direct bolt in lift kit for that truck.

FYI 60s Jeep CJ lift springs are the same width & length as Scout 80s.

This should be in newbie or the Binder Bulletin.

I just bought a 62 scout with what looks to be about a 4" lift, (sitting comfortably on 36" tires.)
I'll be swapping those springs out for something stronger, maybe I can sell em to ya if you're still looking....

4" springs and its got 36's under it? My 66 had an SOA, 3" body lift and 1" lift shackles. Still had to hack the fenders to keep my 36's from rubbing. I don't think you know what your looking at.
