Post up Biatches!

I Finally installed my J/Y propane set upyesterday.

She fired right up.
Idle was a bit low, but with minor adjustment she was ticken at 800rpm.

I went to adjust the timing (was set at +5* when the Edelbrock was on it), and when I kicked up to 10-15* it started to run like crap (back firing).

What gives?

I wasn't able to take it around the block because I still have to pull the old cell & lines, mount the regulator, lines & tank (hopefully today.

^^^ Nice! I run my TBI 350 at 20* timing and seems to have more power. BTW I do run 92 in it also.

I don't have anything to report.....:(

JY recon mission..... hit up several of the local yards without any tools for a walk-thru to see what they have.

Didn't find what I was looking for, but did come across a couple of things I'd like to go back and pick up.

Been thinking about the doubler setup and decided to make a minor change. Instead of using the Ford 31-spline input gear in the 205 and the corresponding 31-spline intermediate shaft in the doubler, I've decided to use a GM 32-spline shorty input gear and a 32-spline intermediate shaft in the doubler. Got turned onto an online source for the 32-spline shorty for a reasonable price so I ordered one up.

Fought with the T-18 all Friday. Binderbasher came over Sat and we fought the T-18 for a bit and yanked it..yup something amiss frozen up. Screw it we yanked the T-19 wide from my other Scout and got it in 95% until BB had to take off. Then the blizzard hit.

Woke up tp 2.5 feet of snow with 6 foot snow drifts. Spent almost all of Sunday moving snow and playing with the new puppy.

Saturday-slept in. Ran errands. Heckled ugly scout and my brother from another mother while they put in windows. Chatted with major screwup about his next project. Watched an ass ton of lost.

Sunday-helped the GF get her garden shed situated, painted part of it, cut down a section of fence, parked my trailer/scout back next to the house. Drank a gallon of beer and watched the only football game I'll watch all year. Ate some great nacho's too. More lost. Almost to season 3.

Saturday: Went out to Binderbound's "brother from another mother's" house and picked up Rockscout from the previous weekends snow run. We had to park my Dad's truck and trailer at a gas station on the corner a ways from his house, then I walked to get the truck. After a little cranking if fired up and I drove it up and on the trailer. Got it home and it wouldn't start. Finally it started backed off the trailer and died, not to start again. I think my ESC is shot as I was getting no spark or fuel. Towed and winched it back into it's winter resting spot, then went to work.

Sunday: Worked

And today I get the joy of going into my new boss and telling her I have spent the last 2 months going through the application process to dispatch for Oregon State Police. I spend 8 hours on Thursday filing out a background check for them and called them today to get a time frame. So, March 15th maybe my first day dispatching again!!:D:D My new boss has been pretty good to me, but she can't even come close to matching the pay. Even if I worked there for 5 years I still would be making less then what I would starting at State Police.

Sat - Took the 4" Triangles, shocks and 33x15.5 Swampers off Gay Scout (soon to be DD). Put on stock springs, shocks, whimpy tires.

Sun - Disassembled a T-19 to put a 23 spline mainshaft and adapter on so I can put the STaK OD on it for the DD.

Nothin on the big truck.

Ugly you need to build a porch off the back of the house to keep the BBQ dry:smokin: Some outdoor tile or stamped colored concrete would look nice too.

I opened up the front wheel wells a couple of weeks ago while I was waiting to do my front 3-link and find bigger tires.

I found the 35's I have been looking for and needed to do a test fit.

Sat- Ice raced one of the '79 Scout II's on Lake Winnebago. Won 3rd place trophy in the studded class. After races blew front shaft and bent front lift springs by jumping snowbanks at high speed. They're fawked. Sun went to Clintonville to watch '97 Packers VS Patriots Superbowl on tape. Packers won. My buddy bought a $100 snowmobile off of a drunken bar patron. Also began parting '65 Scout model 80, cleaned shop and began autopsy on damage assessment on ice racing Scout. Pics to follow.
