specs on your motor please :D
i know its a heavily stroked 351W (426 maybe?) but real specs and power figures would be nice :D
please? :flipoff2:
well, ok. But first you need to know that I didn't build it! If I had the time, experience, talent, patience and general knowhow, I'd probably still have someone else do it, as the learning curve is steep. In this case it's Ford Performance Solutions in Anaheim, CA.
It starts off with a '69-'70 351 Windsor block, bored .040 to clean up.
426W custom ground crankshaft (4.170" stroke/2.100"journal)
Eagle 6.200" 4340 chromoly H- beam rods.
Avenger "R" head (2.08/1.60)
Titanium ret/springs for .625"lift
Ross forged pistons. 9.5:1
SBF main girdle
SBF 1.72x7/16 stud mount aluminm roller rockers
Ford hydraulic roller lifters with retro roller cam shaft.
Cam: lift in. .509; ex.530: duration: in. 222: ex. 230 @ .050
this is on 112 deg. @ 4 deg. adv.
TFS 351w street heat upper & lower intake.
75mm throtle body, 77mm Pro M mass air. 36# injectors.
Ford TFI with Johnson Motor Sports chip.
Accel TFI distributor.
1-5/8 header primarys.
Blah, blah, blah, I know but you asked :flipoff2:
It adds up to 430hp/550lbs torque, all below 4500 rpm. (FPS est.)
It's kind of like a big block in a small block package :)
Not exactly a junkyard motor, though.

Isnt this kinda like askin a women, how much she weighs and how old she is? Id like to know also, but damn I dont know that Id ask, he may not want to say out loud!!! :flipoff2:
TFI for this motor is a little over 2k.
FPS has the prices for a long block, then add accessories.
Fords are more expensive to build than chevys. (hp for hp)
Notice the twin steering pumps? I made the brackets. :D

sweet engine!
Are you running the mustang EEC-IV computer for it, or a custom one?
Also - that is very close to what I was planning on building, but I was thinking a 65mm throttle body... do you have any problems with the throttle being touchy at low rpms?

Yes, EEC-IV. EGR, 02s and some other stuff has been taken out with the chip.
I slowed the throttle linkage down, it's not bad.
I think 65mm is a little small for a 426.
It's way streetable. Just not in my Bronco :D
