I found somewhere that P1294 is a code for "target idle not reached".
You did not specify the make or model so its hard to tell. I would try to reset the computer manually. Usually this can be done by disconnecting the battery for 15 seconds or so.
If still no luck I would go to a good exhaust shop, they often times have the OBD-II code readers. They can verify the code and usually erase it. If no luck their some auto parts stores like Autozone will scan it and erase it for free as well, but it touch and with the parts stores in my experience.
Good luck.

Yeah my bad on the info its a 00' wrangler with the 4.0
I just got the code flashed last night and it came back as the idle problem
It's been idling around 1000rpms
i guess i'm going to try and just reflash the system and see if that helps at all

One think to consider would be check the O2 sensors. Just unscrew them and take a look, if they are all black and charred then replace them. Mine kept throwing a code for the O2 sensor but it also idled really high and rough. Just a thought. I know the O2 sensors don't last long, at least for me. I have replaced both three times. Once was due to my own stupidity but none the less, I have less than 100k on the motor and they keep crapping out.
I realize that it is not the same code as I got I think it is worth a try. When I talked to a mechanic friend of mine he said that something like 80% of the codes are exhaust and emissions related.
Good luck.
