I was just wondering if there was any shops that were spydertrax dealers that would be able to give me a quote on narrowing a houseing and installing the full floater end cup kit and installing tj brackets on the axle for me I will be gowing with the 5x5.5 unit bearings and a high 9 center. I am currently running the RE 5.5" long arm tri Link kit so the brackets will be a little different. Any guidance will be apreciated.

Also be easy on me I am new to building and switching axles but as a understand it to get a FF rear you either go with cups like the spydertrax ones and unit bearings or you use spindles and wheel hubs am I correct in thinking this or not? Also are there advantages or disadvantages to either of these setups?

afaik spindles and hubs are for front only, unit bearings can be used front or rear with proper housing ends,

i just had my rear done, cost were 700 for brackets and labour on mine including housing ends and narrowing it.

if u search the spidertrax site you can find the prices of everything you need

housing ends, unit bearings, drive flanges

then search anywhere and its aboot $350 for brackets then labour will be whatever the shop rate is to have it all welded

polyperformance sells a kit that says it will convert a rear to a FF and it includes spindles and hubs.

someone on here has to have a opinion on the differences between the two different setups. Also is there a cheaper brake setup than the one offered be spidertrax?

Holy crap that's expensive! You could put that same kit together for under five hundred bucks.

MAybe I should say around 500.200 for spindles, 200 for slugs(although you can do without the slugs) junkyard hubs and calipers. I could easily convert a 9 inch to ff for under $500.
