just wondering if they make an offroad type kill(rollover) switch. i know of car switches, but with the bouncing offroad i think it would accidently kill the motor. watching H8 rollover today made me think of this. anyone use or know of one?:usa:

i'm not sure what you're talking about. i have a switch to manually cut off my fuel pump...it's not hard to do. what are you trying to cut off? why would you want something to cut off on its own? wouldn't you rather control everything?

jeff was knocked out cold for a few seconds, hows he supposed to pull a switch? i mean if it got to a point where it is a danger issue, i bet they will end up with the remote kill switches like in monster truck racing

I've thought of using a pair of mercury switches mounted like / \ with the terminals at the bottom. Wire them in series in the main supply for igntion, fuel pump, etc. When the truck is upside down (or past a predetermined angle), the circuit is opened and the power cut. The angle of cutoff could be set at your own personal preference just by adjusting the angle and positioning of the mercury switches. The only problem I see with this concept is in the event of a full roll where you end up on your tires again. The circuit may not have been cut long enough (or at all) and then engine may start running again.

Not to mention if the Hg ampule breaks and that sh*t gets all over you....might try something like the jet skis have...an easy pull would be nice....otherwise look at some of the safety features on a midget or dirt tracker...they might already have something....will ask a buddy that builds these to see what he does....
