I also posted this in the Chevy section but thought I might get better response here.
Thanks

A few years ago I remember seeing a tech article some where about body mounted rocker guards on a K5. My wife has finally decided that she would like a set of gaurds for her truck, 91 burb with 6" lift, 35's and one tonned (as soon as I get the 60 in the garage floor bolted in place), that we could put removable steps on for less agile passangers.

These were made of a rectangle tube that mounted to the body with Jeep TJ steps mounted on pins that could be removed. I can't remember where I saw them and of course she won't let me build them for her truck with out pictures to give her an idea of what they are going to look like. Does anybody remember the artical that I am remembering?

Before everybody starts laughing about "body mounted" rocker guards keep in mind that this truck actually gets used and I haven't been able to come up with a design that will hold up and not bend the frame when really used. I've had body mounted gaurds on my blazer for several years beat them severly and never had a problem.

Thanks
