Will I gain the lost power from the bigger tires by adding a k&n intake, performance chip and custom exhaust??

Also, with the 2" body lift will the emergency brake have to be re-routed??

If anyone has other tips and tricks please let me know, Thanks!!!

You are not going to notice any difference going to a tire marginally larger like a 32", in terms of power loss.
E brake cables are routed and fastened to the chassis, not the body, however, you might have to adjust them (think loosen) since you are moving the body higher away from the frame. Which means you will have to adjust he cable length to compensate.

Because the "nuts" for the mounts are impossible to get any kind of tool on so we welded a piece of scrap from the nut to the body mount.

please understand this is a hard core wheeling web site. a question as simple as a body lift and bolt on power adders should be in the newbe section. there is nothing wrong with seeking knowledge from others - but we have rules here. the rules are there to keep the simple questions in a newbe sections and the more difficult problems to the advanced sections - some tried to hint you are in the wrong section, again as you said we are all rednecks here so coming strait out and telling you or linking the correct route is difficult -

i will try to answer your questions, as i and many exper. wheelers venture to the newbe sections often. though sometimes it is just for a laugh, we do try to help as this will help our sport -


so - will minor power adders help bring the lost power of 32s - it is possible, but remember if the power adder said 20 hp - it means 1-5 hp at best - i have installed a body lift on a truck simmiler to yours and i do recall having to lengthen the e brake cable by maxing out the cable adjustment - we also had problems getting the fan shroud to clear - the customer was ( and now is ) running 33x10.5 BFG muds - we cranked the bars and added a 2" BL - trimmed the inner front fenders - and installed a factory rear LS - he had a local exhaust shop bend up a 3" cat back and we installed a EBAY open airfilter kit - was it faster - i dont think so - but it sounded cooler ( magnaflow ) - he seemed to like it, but i havent seen the customer in a few months -


and i hope to see you in the newbe section next time - and try not to aggitate the oldtimers - it takes forever to calm them down - :flipoff2:

I for one think this forum needs more body lifts and 32's. I get tired of seeing dents and scraped up paint and big stupid swampers. Its almost like this is some kind of hardcore rockcrawling site or something. :shaking:

Hell, if me and my 20YO stick welder can get one good enough to go 60 (welding it in the driveway mind you) then you should be set.
