Im trying to get my dodge 60 in my YJ , but It looks like the long side tube is gonna have to be cut down, I here you cant cut the long side shaft down, so you must switch to a chevy long side shaft,is this true?? I was also told that the dodge shaft necks down so it cant be re-splined. Also if any one has any pics of a DODGE front 60 in a YJ please post, The dodge 60 is not the same as the chevy 60, so I would like to see how much it needs to be narrowed, I would like to keep it as close to full width as possible thanks.:usa:

what year is your dodge 60?
the chev 60s neck down prior to ??
my dodge has the fat shafts as it is from the 90s
the chev is wider then a dodge
I dont see why you would need any chev parts to cut yours down

Is the spring pad cast in to the housing?
On my Ford 60 it is, all I could do was locate the other perch off the cast one and match the end to the other side.
If I wanted to go wider I would have had to retube the short side.

my friend Rico just finished putting a dodge 60 in his YJ. Narrowed both sides, made it about 64 ~ 65 wms.

Here are pictures of Rico's setup:
