Was looking to move the front forward all the way to the end of framerails (or as close as I can get), mainly due to the 406 diff, which may or may not be moved from it's stock location of 4" off center. Question is, even if I narrow the front (sheetmetal) sya 8 inches total, will 42's fit without just about hacking off most of the front of front fender and/or sides of the grill. (and no, I have no idea yet what effective lift I will end up with, shooting for 6.5" or less, including 4.5 inches form mogs).

Those running 42's with a substantially longer WB, which axle did you move and by how much. And while we are at it, what approx susp lift was needed assuming a 1.5" body lift, massive hacking/narrowing and a 70"ish track (WMS-WMS).
