I am toying with the idea of entering in EROCC next year...however, i know my little toyota cant hang with the tube buggys in the the unlimited class so i am trying to build my truck to run in the Legends class.
Anywho....all the rule book on the internet says about suspensions is, "Suspension pivot points and connecting points must be free of cracks and in good physical condition."
However, i heard someone saying that the vehicle has to have a suspension similar to the one that was orginial on the vehicle. And since i have done a SAS that could screw me. Just wandering if there is any truth to that statement.

the way i understand it a SAS is not the original suspension of the vehicle so that would knock you up to the unlimited class.

Can anyone point me to a rule book where it says that:question:

I'm pretty sure that, as long as you have the original frame and tires 36" or smaller, you're Legends eligible.

Just took a look at the printed version of the rules I have and I agree with the above, I think you're OK with Legends.

YOU WILL BE FINE AS LONG (sorry)
as you got a stock frame and the tire issue.

I still don't understand how you can have a linked coil-over suspension incorporating only the stock frame and 36" tires to run the legends class. Just like Bettio running a tube buggy with a YJ frame in the Legend class :shaking:

i agree with bigdude on the coil-overs and tube buggy built off a frame not being fair. That really is a stretch on the rules!! I just want to run my simple leaf springs. (It would be the stock setup if my truck was built two years eariler.) I think the Legends class should require the vehicle to look similar to how it looks from the factory....anywho....
looks like i am going to focus on keeping my truck legal to run in the Legends Class. (35s unstead of 37s or 38s :( ) oh well. It will be fun to destroy my daily driver.
