Guys,
It's a happening thing, I flew to Melbourne, have picked up the "Yanky Trash on wheels" !!! LOVE IT... and have started the trip home. I'm in Adelaide at the moment so have only done 900Km (560 Ml) but am really happy with the performance at the moment although would like to change the shift points for the auto on the hills a bit. Mirrors don't fold and have tried the fold in and out manually trick, still no joy. When I fold in manually then try to fold out electrically only the drivers side folds out, will investergate when I get home, otherwise all is GREAT.....!!!

A pic of the H2 loaded for the trip home, will lose 3 of 4 the tyres and the 2 rims here in Adelaide as I'll put them on a truck/train and frieght them home. I've purchased them so I can put a set of offroad tyres on them. Wanted to try out the weight on the roof rack and car in general. Don't want it there when in the bush though. I also have 120 L (31Gal) of fuel in jerrycans, a 60" highlifit jack and my bed on the roof although I've got the rear seats folded down and am sleeping inside whilst in the cooler climates. The roof rack isn't real flash but beggers can't be choosers here in OZ and it's doing the job.

Will post up a trip report when at home. Will leave Adelaide Monday PM/ Tues AM and be home a week or so later.

OK catchya later.

Al :D:)

Cool truck! It looks like you are off to a nice start on your trip. I am curious as to how you end up liking the truck as my wife and I plan a croos country trip here in the US. We are going to try and use as many dirt roads, OHV trails, etc. as possible and camp about 1/2 the time.

So far I have loved the endless space ad comfort the H2 has on longer trips.

Also, you can go relatively fast over rough terrain compared to smaller toyo's nissans, etc that literally beat you to death.

Mate,

I'm at home now after covering 4125 KM (2563 Ml), about 1000 KM (621 Ml) on dirt roads and tracks, & 60Km of sand dune tracks and 60km of beach driving. Had a blast, some days were long, 1 day of 100 KM of tight twisting scrub track and another of 16Hrs 150km of beach and tracks and then dirt road and finally tar. Never once was I sore from sitting behind the wheel.
Love the comfort and the quietness of the vehicle. It's a cross between my Oka and my Volvo XC70, the off road ability of the Oka and the on road manners of the Volvo.

When I get my pics sorted I'll do a full trip report. Also took four hours of vid and will try to knock out a 15/20 Min dvd.

I recon go for it as far as using back roads tracks etc, you'll love it and if it's the same as here people love to see a H2 off the tar.

Al :)
