i was just wondering if anyone has done or heard of someone taking an a/c condenssor and turning it into a tranny cooler.(after flushing of course). i was thinking about this the other day while looking at one and thinking if it could be done(i know it could be done) but is it worth while. the only reason i ask is i live in michigans upper penninsula and almost everyone has plow trucks and if they are automatics they always have problems with overheating trannies. any advice or comments would be appreciated.

As far as I am concerned, this is a must-have for a/t's that see severe duty. I'm just surprised more people don't have them. Mine works great. I used a Tercel a/c condenser with a fan and shroud, mounted under the bed. You also need a temp gauge. I can drop 40* off a hot tranny in less than 5 minutes.

i was thinking more along the lines of using the factory or near factory condensor in the front in the grill with a fan. or without. up here most people don't use their ac or it doesn't work. our average summer temp is probly in the low 70s maybe high 60s.
