I need to get some recommendations on what kind of coils I should use in my SAS. I've got 3" body and want to run 37"s w/ a fair amt of space for them but dont want to go too high. I would also prefer a somewhat stiff spring, nothing too bouncy. Suggestions plz on how much and what kind. Thx

Not to jump in on your post BigRed. But is it possible to run a EB coil on a fullsize? I am considering this because the EB coils are much more flexy then any fullsize coil I have seen or herd of. I know I would have to get a lifted coil, but how long would I have to get to compensate for my weight of my rig and the lift i would desire. Ohh Yeah I drive a 85 bronco with 4 inches of lift and 33s. If it helps any. Thanks

Funny you should bring it up.... there's an article in Petersen's this month on exactly that -- putting a 3-1/2" Duff's prog coil under a 78/79 Bronco.

They got 2" of lift out of it.

Well, here's some useful info:

What buckets are you using? If you're using the factory 80-96 bucket, it will yield ~2" more lift than the coil says. So, a 4" lift coil from a '79 will give you 6" over stock. If you use the 78/79 bucket, they're taller by 1-1/2", so the coils will yield the advertised lift.

Clear as mud?

Also, I dunno how much lift you consider "a fair amount of space", but 37's will fit with only 6" of lift if you were careful about how you positioned the axle. Figure you could use a 4" coil with the BL and still have room to spare.

Well i just put in a set of fabtec progressive coils on my bronco. With the sas. So far them are pretty good. They are way softer than the superlift one i had before. These coils are made for a 1997 i think 2wd f-150. They fit just fine. I ended up with about 8 inches of lift when i put them in and now they have sagged about another inch. I have not had a chance to really flex them out yet. But i am hopeing to hit the con up in the next few weeks. I am hopeing that with the coils and the wristed arm Mark did for me it will flex really well!
