Lately my 205 has been popping out of 4L- it doesn't make any noise and goes back in with little effort. it usually happens under load, and stays in in 4hi but who needs that!

What keeps it in gear? can I replace whatever it is fairly easily? with out tearing the whole case down.

I am going to rig up some king of strap to the firwall/dash to hold the lever foreward:eek:

The strap idea, if it works, it works, so try it. I knew a guy with a 203 that did this same trick.

Could the body be contacting the shifter? Maybe you need to trim the hole a little?
