i just purchased a shortened chevy dana 44 for my isuzu rodeo solid axle swap. i had my friend press new ball joints on the knuckles and along with some of the rebuild parts i purchased came these hollow split ring that go on the axle that control alignment camber? on the axle i bought, these were removed, and needed to be replaced. how far down do i thread these down? i was told not to mess with these bolts, but i have to because they are non existant in my axle.can anyone help? i dont want to do this wrong.ive searched on the forums and cant seem to find the info i need.thanks

Sounds like you're talking about the adjusting sleeve. Give these two items a look:

And CJ5's post in this thread:

Does anybody have a part number for these adjustment sleeves? I've looked high and low and the only thing I've found has been for Ford Twin Traction Beam crap not solid D44's.

I desperately need one to correct the camber on a Ford HP D44.

All the balljoints I've ever bought came with a zero degree sleeve. I need a degreed sleeve.

Have you tried calling alignment shops in your area. If they don't have them or won't sell them to you, they should at least be able to point you in the right direction.

I'll give that a try, just don't want to have to pay an arm and a leg for them.
