Im trailering my 40 and my buddy"s bronco down to do our first trip to the rubicon on july 20th . All the plans are made and time taken off work. I found a calendar that shows the Tahoe side is closed for maintenace the 19 though the 25th of july. What the f#!K! Can someone tell me what exactly this means!

If they are doing maintenence on the Tahoe side there should be a bypass to use. You should just make sure that is not the Jamboree weekend.

I believe that they close that end do the Jeepers Jambo crew can get up and down to the springs prior to the the jambo which is the 7/24 - 7/29.

I know I have been many times where the trail was "closed"
Just stay out of their way and they won't mind. If it is the jambo this is the 50th anniversary and people pay a LOT of $$$$ to go..
In other words you probably wouldn't be welcome at the springs ;)
I used to camp at spider and just hang out all day while they drove through talking to the "rock rollers"
It was fun, and they were friendly. I'd be pissed too if someone was hogging the trail I paid $600 to go on..

You know what? I did not know that someone owned the trail. I still thought that it was open to the public. This is a bunch of bull for some one to tell you that you cannot go on the trail because they have a thing going on and making money. Of course you have to remember that we live on the left coast and the laws are not for everyone.
Money talks a B S walks.

it is a county road, with a permit they CAN close it - and they have a permit..
Bottom line, don't be an ass cause they CAN close it and keep ya out
Parts ARE private (slabs, springs, etc..)
