i got a 95 ranger 4,0 5spd, back in the summer i took it to a mud bog and it shut off while in the mud, i got the truck home and it did nutin but hesitate every time you would hit the throttle i changed the fuel filter and mud poured out of it, also every once and a while the truck would shut of and not start for a while, whil it would not start i would press the bleeder on the fuel rail and got nuttin but air and maybe a little fuel, so i figured i had mud in my whole fuel system, so i dropped the tank and there was mud in the tank and the fuel pump sock was off the fuel pump and also muddy, so i cleaned the tank, the fuel pump put a new sock on the pump, put a new filter again flushed all the lines, pulled the fuel rail and cleaned that and the injectors, put it all back together and it still does the hesitation thing every time you hit the throttle it hesitates so bad, to get it to go to 4000rpms i have to keep featering the throttle gettin it a little there at a time
