This is my first build...and first jeep for that matter.

Started with a 93 YJ 4cyl, 5spd that i SOA'd and threw 33's on.

then i bought a Vortec 5300 v8 out of a wrecked 2000 chevy with 7,000miles for $1500, and an old 1 ton 4x4 chevy farm truck for $500. found some other parts like a TH400 already mated to a D300....heres what i ended up with.

In the beginning

If you want to know more...i'll post more...
i'm using a camaro cable shifter with fabbed brackets, rear disc 14 bolt, 60 front...4.56 gears, welded rear...i dunno, just some stuff i put together.

KOZ is still in buisness but they've been in the process of maving shops and what not. They actually split the buisness if I remember right, KOZ is going to be mostly fab. and install while the other buisness is going to be selling all the parts. For got the name of the new place but if you call the KOZ number you'll be able to order, should be at least.

I got my arms from them, they're simple and cheap, good quality, cold rolled, great price, $51 a piece. I called them back in July and didn't get an answer (because they were moving shops). To my surprise they actually called me in September to see if there was anything I needed, thats when I ordered my arm.

They're perfect if your looking for an affordable "nothing special" arm that gets the job done.

I'm trying to keep it street legal (for now)...so i stuck with the stock steering box and the new chevy pump

Got my power steering in last night...what a difference...turns out a stock jeep hose fits both the jeep gear box (duh) and the chevy pump :-) ($22 at napa)

What kind of radiator did you run with? Do you have more pics of it mounted? Looks good, I can't wait to finish my Heep.

I got one from ebay that was advertised as a 4 core YJ V8 radiator...i think it was about $200 or so, but that was a year ago, and i just searched for them and can't find em.

Just my luck. I'm trying to figure out what type of radiator I'm gonna use for my YJ.

yea i have nothing but good things to say about them, honest , great service, and the shirt they threw in was great till it caught on fire. pretty good product for a GM motor swap that i used in my CJ, same difference as a YJ and with a stock water pump and fan, and 180* thermosat its sitts right at 180 on the gauge. not too shaby
