Well, I ordered an XD mag kit (3 magazines and another holder in a case) for $30 + shipping. I was told there was a month or so backorder. Fine. Well, mid January that backorder date moved to late March/April.

Yesterday, I get a call stating Springfield has canceled these kits.

I called Springfield and they said they produced a set number of these kits and told distributors/dealers when they're gone...that's it. Whereas, some vendors said that Springfield told them they were going to continue production and to keep accepting backorders.

Somebody ain't on the up and up....

Or rather...Springfield saw that wayyyyyyy too many people were taking advantage of $30 kits....in stead of buying individual $12-$25 magazines.

I wouldn't even consider the notion that you would mislead anyone. :laughing: In my haste for $30 mag kits, I placed an order without contacting you first...but it was in January so you may have already been sold out.

my local dealer has them for 9mm and .40s&w if anyone wants to get some...

we could do a paypal, pickup thing, even.

not sure if they are available...i know 9mm and .40 are. my local shop wants $65.00 for them. :eek:

No they just stopped production of the mag kits they offered

Not necessarily.

Springfield supposedly produced a set number of these XD accessory kits (in a 9mm, .40, and .45) in 10rd and hi-cap (12rd/13rd) etc. which were then supplied to distributors/dealers.

Whereas, the distributor I ordered from said Springfield told them to keep accepting backorders as they were going to continue production.

No. For the holidays they had a speciall package deal. Hard case, mag holder and 3 mags. It was announced as a limited time only thing. The OPs vendor seemed to have missed that part of the announcement.

I did not save the flier I got in the mail, otherwise I would post it.


SA still makes the high cap mags.
