I need to haul my jeep into the shop. I'd rather not drive it <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

I only need it for a couple of hours and I'm flexible on date/time.

I'll trade <IMG SRC="smilies/beer.gif" border="0"> for a few hours use of a trailer <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

tnx

If nobody responds you can rent a U haul car hauler for $ 45 for the day. They are right on Bidwell at Ace hardware. I used one and it was brand new.

Thanks Dave, I looked into a rental. but for that $45 bucks, I'll upgrade my wifes AAA to AAAplus and just get it towed. Its only about 40 miles...

but I'm hoping someone would rather trade some cold brew for use of thier trailer <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Is your TJ stock width? If not, how wide of a trailer do you need?

I'm guessing you're bringing it up to Foothill Offroad then?

I've got one that you can borrow, 74" between the wheel wells, 78" deck width. It's about 16 feet long and heavy as hell (2K lbs.). Do you have something to pull it with?

good guess. yeah its going up to foothill.

I was going to tow it with my wifes 99 runner. It tows 5K. But, the jeep is prolly 3500 pounds. (top and doors are off, and backseat is out, but it has 35s plus some skids). If your trailer is 2000 I'm over the rated limit.

I was guessing a trailer would weigh around 1000 pounds and I'd be OK.

Let me rethink this plan <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">

putz trailer is HEAVEY, i wouldnt recomend the runner at all for his trailer. most trailers are indeed lighter, if i had one it would be up for grabs when ever! jiMMy

hehehehe, yea jiMMy knows! It would probably be fine, a little slow going, but pulling the Jeep on a 1K trailer with a Runner is going to be also. If you come up Auburn-Folsom, you've got one semi-steep grade right before popping into Auburn. If you come up Hazel to 80, it's just a steady uphill. Don't really know which is the lesser of two evils.

The trailer tracks really nice though.

Putzboy, does the trailer have brakes?

Electric on one axle. It's got a 6 pin round connector with the electric brake being one of the wires.
