I stripped all the stuff off the bulkhead yesterday (man, what a pita). Scrapped the wiring harness (what a big hunk of shit). Plan to strip the wings, pull the windshield outta the frame and get everything ready for a respray. Next weekend will be a quick trip to RDS in New Orleans to pick up a load of parts (including the bed). Then will take all the body parts to get painted. Meanwhile, I will be waiting for the wiring harness, the 30 splined ARB and axles, the Bilstein 7100's (got the 14" travel short bodies), and RT custom springs.

Once I get the new diff in and have the rolling chassis squared away - (with some stock springs until the RT's arrive). I will install the bulkhead, column, wiring harness, and get the brake and fuel lines going to the back end squared away.

Anyway,

Do not be suprised to see me at Moab with a skeletor truck. As long as the drivetrain, an body is squared away, all that needs to work on the electrical side is the starter button, and power and ground to the TDI.

Later,

Blister

Hey Blister,

What axles are you running again? Your only running 30spliners in the rear right??

The reason that Im asking is that im fairly sure that Jac Mac down here makes a conversion (new axles/drive flanges and reworked spindle) that lets you run toyota 40series cvs up front and a bloke told me yesterday that 40series cvs are the same as toyota hylux/4runner which is the same as those "unbreakable" bobby longfield CVs. So if this info is correct (including my memory) it would let you run 30spline axles up front with the bobby longfield CVs.

I will give Jac Mac a ring later and find out what he can do.
