I wanted to know if there are more good wheeling spots than Florence and Table Mesa in arizona. I am looking for stuff like Highway to Hell.
Let me know whats out there. I'll have the D44's in my TJ before March and want to go and try this shit out!

There is stuff at White Tanks, Payson, Parker, Superior, etc. Have you wheeled everything at Table Mesa and FJ? You're always asking about wheeling spots, but have never mentioned where you've been so far? The best way to learn where to wheel is to hook up with some experienced locals and hit the trails. There are virtually endless areas to wheel around AZ.

Have you done the hard shit in FJ: Bad Medicine, X, Axle Alley, Woody's Wash? Those are some gnarly trails worthy of beating up rigs.

White tanks are boring. Two cool trails but a lot of wash boulders to bounce around on.
Florence has trails for everyone. Good camping, less trash/shooting/dust than TM
Table mesa, some of the top trails in the southwest.
Bumble bee, north of table mesa, more tough trails.
Superior, cool camping, one or two trails.
Parker, cool camping moderate/hard trails
Havasu, party city when it is over 90 degrees. Tough trails practically behind the walmart
Payson, moderate and tough trails, cooler than phoenix.
There is one other place, but it is a desination for tough crawling.
As said above, what have you run so far?
Good luck getting VJC to show you anything cool

I may have a chance to wheel around Tucson in April. Where can I go to camp and explore some gnarly trails for a weekend.

There are a couple around Clarkdale, about an hour away, but nothing good close to here.

Thanks, I'll shoot up there when I got some time. I got my wrangler running. Now I just got to get the tie rod done on mu SJ and I am good to go. PS: Anyone running a stock tie-rod on their CJ7, DITCH IT. I bent mine like a tooth pick on the hammers.

There are a few guys on VJC that can show you around the tougher trails, but don't cry like a beyotch when your Jeep gets smashed. In FJ, I have done most of the nasty trails mentioned above, plus quite a few others not mentioned(and if you never heard of them, I wonder if you are ready). In TM, I have done most as well, and same with WTs. And Superior. Good stuff around Mammoth too.
What?

I dont want to see any directions or GPS to these trails posted on here. Go with a local group that has run them.:flipoff2:
The locals you sign up with can look over your rig and help you decide if you can run those trails.

or try your azvjc and sign up for some runs.

I gave the white tanks props for two trails. Oreo canyon is way too long for one water fall. Not enough crawling in between.
Drive die hard at TM, and you will be bored with WT.

Very boring in a stockish TJ on 37s. It is essentially an endless rock garden that isn't that tough. Might be challenging forr someone newer to crawling I suppose. Nice picnic sort of trail.

Like you have a "stockish TJ on 37s". I agree though, just a long boulder garden, but there are a few optional lines that are gnarly, but you have to look for them, easy to drive right by. A few cool little obstacles, but too much nothing in between them.

That is the whole white tanks. I can't stand driving in wash boulders for 2 hours. Get me in a squeeze and off camber please :flipoff2:

A TJ on 37s, stock axles, stock wheelbase? Nothing special about that.
I know about the optional lines. It is still boring as hell. Running the boulder gardens in 2WD Hi or Lo with a locker makes them mildly more interesting. I don't mind boulder gardens but they have to be interesting, like the two on Die Hard.

DH is great! I guess I have a stockish TJ too, and DH is really fun. I have made every obstacle clean, just never in the same trip, always seems like I get FUBARed on 1 obstacle, just different ones each time. Good times though.

Rain and water is what makes a bunch of those trails especially interesting.
