As long as Josh and Amy keep feeding me food whenever I drop by uninvited :D

Josh I Didn't gewt a chance to pull the Pitman arm yet I was trying to keep my Chickens caged all weekend. I want to be able to have a disfunctional wrenching day soon.

I will pull the arm tonight and bring it over.

See you guys Wednesday evening.

Mike,
Any chance you can bring over the Pla... Pla... Plasma cutter! :D

Todd,
Pitman arm Wednesday? Or any other time you are hungry! Can you bring the puller too?

I just placed the order for my steering linkage! :)
Still haven't received my wheels though. :(

Now I'm freaking out cus I just might have to pony up for the big bucks front driveline :( . That sucks because I wanted to spend that money on the rear. Now I have to just get an adapter for the rear.

Todd already offered me his and Joe swares we can clearance it. My problem is I can't point the pinion up. The angles at the t-case and the pinion are way too steep with all the lift I have.

Joe was able to clearance his, but he has nowhere near the angle I do.

Josh remember your junk is sitting at full droop right now.
Well at least it was when I last saw it up on Jackstands.

I imagine we can mess around with the spring packs and the sawzalss to get the driveline angle and tire clearance you need. :D

What's keeping you from pointing the pinion up?

How much lift do you have that the angle is "that bad"?

I run SOA with stock springs - and had an RS that tipped the pinion down into the dirt, and still managed to make a stock style front DS (well, this one was long-travel) work after I clearanced it and removed the zerk fittings.

And yes, I go to full droop when the springs stop drooping while mid-air and use all 14" of the front shocks. :D

SOA on lift springs.

The perch is in the diff and it's a Dodge front end with studs. Not that that's the problem. I have to run in two weeks and have very limited time. I'd have to...

1)Grind the new perch into the diff and move the other side perch.
2)Twist the knuckles
3)move the springs outboard an inch on either side.

I'll probably do this next Month... After I run the entire Con in 2wd! :flipoff2:

No no no.

Buy steel shims (Fleckster will happilly sell you some).

Install.

There, done.

Who needs caster? Practice your white-knuckle deathgrip.. better yet, put the thing on the trailer and tow it to the Con. :flipoff2:

I had to change out my draglink so it would clear the springs + shims after I corrected my pinion droop..

Neglected to correct the driveshaft-now-too-long problem though. :D Gotta measure again tonight and go have a little more trimmed off tomorrow.

Put the tie-rod back to the stock location. :)

The quote wasn't unreasonable for a CV at both ends.

I should however get two of those PnP Waggy lines and fab a new Square shaft with the 2 CV's!

now why on earth do you need 2 cvs? this is a front shaft right? DO you have weight on the front axle while you're looking at this ? Man, maybe I'll just come on over for a couple minutes and look at this thing

My rig IS on jackstands HOWEVER there is weight on it when I put a jack under the axle to check fitment for my driveline!

Joe has my angle finder, but it looks like I'm at about 35 degrees at full droop and 30 degrees just sitting. That's at both ends... The pinion end and the t-case end.

What lift ya running? My shit looks way up there & I have the Metric 33's on it now. Im gonna have to reconsider either goin to stock leaves or trading these for 2in leaves. :( Id really like to keep the Skyjackers tho. I do need to drop the 1in shackle back to stock height too tho. 13.5in of wheel well clearance, but not much weight on the rear at the moment. These are not new springs.
