it seems to me the alfaster is the better ( or at least better parts ) rig. is this correct? i would think it would be valued at 20 to 30 thousand dollars U.S. sound about right ?

Better...hmmm not sure yet. We have only driven two competitions with it and about half an hour practise. So we don't have the trust for the car yet, if you know what I mean? When Moggster was built it really fit to my hands like a glove. Alfaster is way better to drive when there is some speed or very steep side hills. But some places I liked the Moggsters V8 power more and some parts of its driving. But that might be cause the experience with Moggster. We've driven with that since 1998.

And what comes to better parts that is right. Only thing that we are not sure yet is the strength of axles. We haven't got time to test the car with 44" tyres or even at very bad places with 39.5". In competitions there usually is few sections that are worse than others and in those places we drive very carefully so we don't break up and be out of the competition. And like I wrote we have only got about half an hour time to test the car in small stones. But so far it feels good, we just would need to get some time to drive and play with it :D

Oh and I know that this aint the FOR SALE section, but since I'm not really selling these cars..... at least not yeat I decided to post it here. They could be for sale if here enough offers :D

Pics of suspension etc is a bit hard cause I don't have digital camera of my own. But maybe some day I'll buy one or at leat borrow one.

those rigs are probably worth around $15 thousand, depending on all the parts used. They look cool.:skull:

Jare,

Are you the driver of the Mogster from the Eurotrial championships on Switzerland in 2000? If so, Hi - I'm one of the Irish team that was there.

If it's the machine I saw - Awesum. It kicked ass all over most other Europran machines.

Jare,

Cool rigs! I made it to Finland for the 1000 Lakes Rallye some years back. Had a great time, but learned not to mess with those "crowd control German Shepards".... perhaps you could post a few photos to explain how "crowd control" is done! :D

:D Uuh that's a hard one 'cause I've never been at 1000 lakes rally so I don't know how they work there. And I cannot compare it to US style cause I've never been there either ;)

Thanks for the links, the pics are sweet! I don't have a protracor handy or anything so I can't give a very scientific guess to the approach/departure angles (someone else will I'm sure) but they're both well over 90*. If I had to guess I might say something like 110*? That's a total guess but like I said I'm sure someone else can give a more scientific number. The angle of the pics makes it kinda hard to tell, but it's all good! Once again great looking rig! :D
