Where have you guys mounted your turning/cutting brakes? using the lay down or upright styles? I can't decided if I want the lever on my right or left side:confused:

I don't think to many ftoys have them since its not comp legal to use any.

I guess thats why I couldn't find anything about them in any of the build threads:homer:

As far as I know turning brakes are not allowed in comps, most cars do have a line lock on the front brakes to do rear burns. You can have turning brake levers but I they must be inactive or disabled during a comp. I could be wrong as all of the BOD is out of Cal. which is a growing concern to me as an AZ. member

Probably a great question for General 4x4 tech. Waaaaay more buggies with cutting/turning brakes there. Since they're not comp legal, few of us have ever worried about or researched them.

So, Hobie,

You usedtobe from CA!

Did you move to LA to open a Cajun restaurant?
Open a 4wd salvage yard with Katrina leftovers? Got any good deals on rusty 60's?
Buy a shrimp boat?
Staring a Formula Pirogue series?

Hobie, thats kinda lame, before you moved 4 out of 5 were in Cal. and the East was pretty much non-existant. My intention was that AZ. now has 4 F-Toys ready to comp , and we seem to be without reprepresentation. When Cali. submerges and AZ is ocean front, I think we should have people in place to carry on the F-toy tradition. :flipoff2::flipoff2:
