: full time to part time conversion

i bought a blazer with the dana 44 8 lug fulltime axle up front it has no hubs i want to convert it? I hear that all you have to do is buy a set of warns and install them? or is there more to it.

If you have the full time case then you will still have to run it in 4hi loc when the front hubs are unlocked or else the front shaft will just spin. They do make a partime kit for the t-case too.

As for your original question you should just need to knock the dust covers off and pull the snap rings and remove the flange and spring then install your new hubs. Its been awhile since I've messed around with one.

my dodge has fulltime 44 front and i kinda like the fact of having one less part to replace
