osmtdi2000 02-28-2008, 01:04 AM what about trailer rigs? my jeep is no longer street legal so tags have long been expired
We were right by the ranger station and we were pulled over by sheriffs on snowmobiles. We tried to go up before midnight about 8:30 and they caught us. Just gave my buddy the ticket for tabs.
:mr-t:
earthad58 02-28-2008, 02:38 PM so im guessing this means all rigs up there must be street legal?
smalltowncowboy 03-01-2008, 11:23 PM theres lots of us from here in town going on the jubilee run. unless i can get my vortec swap done and the truck back together, ill be riding shotgun.
i heard theres about 8 feet plus up there right now. this is the most snow we have had in this area since about 92.

Where are you located?
Snow fall was crazy this year. We usually wheel west of Sumpter, and I know they had 5 feet this year. Tollgate was well over 100". The 29th and 30th of March we are headed to the ORV park with the quads, so that should give us an idea of when we will be able to get into the higher elevations. I don't see that we will be able to get to 8000 feet until end of June, first of July.
Karma 03-04-2008, 06:07 PM We where up there on the sleds this weekend. Deepest snow pack I have seen up there.
83kingcab 03-08-2008, 08:33 AM i guess im going to try to go up the following weekend because my friend with the chevy is going to a mudbog in idaho and i broke the splines on my steering box so im rigging up hydro assist
osmtdi2000 03-08-2008, 02:11 PM anyone heard about a run up to jubilee yet?
We might go there but we go off trail a lot

OlympicYJ 04-08-2008, 12:53 PM I feel like an idiot for asking this but is Tollgate in Oregon?
Snowpack her in the Olympics is really good. I don't think much has melted since I was home on Christmas break and it's only snowed more so. I won't be getting up above Wynoochee Falls anytime soon. Usually about the first or second weekend in July it's all melted off the roads and you can get up there.

OlympicYJ 04-08-2008, 01:47 PM Thanks for the info!
Hoping to do more wheeling when I get home. Been up in Alaska since end of August. I've been slowly finding the legal spots to wheel in WA. Kinda sucks casue they are all a ways away from my house. The Olympics are right in my back yard but I don't think they like any wheeling there. Only one legal trail that I know of. Tahuya isn't too far away but I don't like being around a bunch of people but I might go there with some buddies just to check it out. Thanks much for putting me on the right track.

osmtdi2000 04-25-2008, 11:29 PM I heard through the grapevine that you got stumped on your rig so you contracted it out to Columbia Industries. They did a great job!!! I hope they were wearing their precious helmets when they were taking your truck for a test drive out in the open meadows

osmtdi2000 04-26-2008, 08:52 PM I had this vision the other day: I’m going to hook up Direct Way 2 way satellite so I can log in at any given trail time. I could bring up live data from threads I just posted and get answers instantly from Pirate4x4.com I could take pictures and send them in and get answers within seconds on what I should do!

chewyfj-40 03-24-2009, 07:02 PM heard today that the snow-mobile season had been extended to april 30th this may prohibite any 4x4's until the season is over,I have never been on the jubillee run and was planning on going this year, does anyone know if the extended season will delay the roads to be open to 4x4's
smalltowncowboy 03-26-2009, 03:07 PM not sure about that, last year they let us both play at the same time, it was an experiment to see if there would be issues.

bigblack75Chev 04-02-2009, 11:23 PM The snow looks good up there now. Last year though there was 3.5' of snow begining of April near Meacham and it was gone by opening day of turkey 15 days later. It did snow today up there though.
Cimmaron 04-03-2009, 03:57 PM the road is open ill be up there in a dark blue runner on 39s
