I'm in the process of doing my engine/tranny swap and i need to make my rear crossmember. if anyone would be kind enough to send me a template from a AA crossmember, or sell me one they have laying around for cheap, it would be greatly apreciated. On the same note, i also need a template for the rear disc brake brackets so i can cut them out, i have a limited budjet and have a hard time paying alot of money for peices of plate i can cut myself. I would also be willing to cut a pair out for anyone who will send me the template, and its from a flame cutter so you know they woulnt be ugly
Thanks in advance if anyone can help

If you are going to make your own crossmember, here is how RustyB and I made mine.
We took the cone off the rear of the transfer case and made a template off the holes from it on a piece of 3/16 flat plate. Once we got the tranny/transfer up in the truck we ran braces off the flat plate to the frame with 1.5" square tubing.
Worked well and it took us about 2 hours to do it.

Sounds good... how did you attach the crossmember to the framerail? i'm thinking i'll sandwich a layer of conveior [sp?] belt we have between the crossmember and the mounts on the framerail. since i want to do this right the first time, anyone have any words of wisdom for the mounts to be well protected and easy to remove on the trail if need be?

If you are fabbing your own crossmember by copying Advance Adapters design, you might want to do a search and read the AA Crossmember? thread (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59351&highlight=crossmember) first. There was some good information about mounting a crossmember under the tranny rather than to the back of the transfer case.

Here is picture of t-case crossmember. 3/8" plate. On mine it sits on square poly bushing. Recently modified it to be bolted in sitting on 2" round poly bushing. If you like it I can make a paper pattern and send it to you.
Re: disc brake pattern. I have a PDF file of a pattern. You need Adobe to read it.
