Anyone have this happen before? Does fine until it starts getting warm and full turn to one side or the other. It's a clicking that is consistent with the engine rpms. It works fine.....just clicks.

My only thought was maybe I tightened down the bolts that come in from the bracket behind the ps pump too much? I dunno.

FYI: It's an 89 fullsize blazer 350, with stock ps pump and astro van steering gear. Not that it means much, but it's in a YJ wrangler.

ive heard a plug wire arcing of headers making a clicking or a exhaust gasket leaking making that sound but not a pump:smokin:

Change the belt. It's cheap. I had something similar but it was on a serp set-up.

That clicking normally means it is strarved for fluid. Pull the cap when you have the steering cranked hard over and check the level.

Basically a new install on the engine, new wires....no arc'ing. No on the gasket as well.

Brand new belt.

I'll check that.
