I was wondering if there is a difference between a fuel injected 302 and straight six wiring harness. will one run the other???

Are you joking? Other then the fact there there are 8 injectors on a V8 and 6 on the straight 6.

Do the math.

no i mean other than the obvious but i have the v-8 computer and all that shit i just got a decent cab but i dont want to rip apart the dash if it will work with the straight 6 wiring

I do beleive there is a way with a tweecer on a 89-91 mustang SEFI system to get them to run on a 6 cyclinder.

I am gonna jump and say harness's are going to be a bit different.
