: Ripped Off @ Fordyce
Ryno66 07-07-2002, 07:00 PM Yes, unfortunately we were ripped off at Fordyce this weekend. We had two trailers parked on the main road in front of Indian Springs trailhead from Friday till Sunday. We came back to see that someone had used bolt cutters to bust off our lock on our race trailer and stole a brand new generater, hydralic jack, and misc. tools! We would love to get our hands on these motherfawkers and do some street justice. If anyone has any info please post anything that can be of assistance,THANKS
Ryan :mad2:
Adam Ant 07-07-2002, 07:06 PM you know this seems to be the fawking norm I have be ripped off 2 times in the last 2 months! fawk I am getting real pissed!
what is the world coming too!

Adam,
Bill Collins 07-07-2002, 07:22 PM someone needs to set up some cameras to catch these sob in the act.it is still hard to get a conviction, unless they fess up.but maybe worth a try....
rockmutt 07-07-2002, 07:47 PM BASTARDS!!, you ought to park there again, leave some Expensive stuff on the trailer, and when they come buy, kick the shit out of them!!!.. i did that last year in the locker room at my HS my freshman year. some1 kept breakin my lock and puttin my stuff in the pisser, so i hid out in a stall, and when i caught him, he payed!! just my $0.02, thats a bummer dude:eek:
What ticks me is that there is no respect for others property anywhere, nothing is safe even when you think it is, this really sucks and I hope those dips fall over a cliff someplace.
Magoo 07-07-2002, 08:27 PM "No really officer the lock was to keep the snakes in! I dunno why ANYONE would want to set a couple of pissed of watermocasins loose?"
PETA would have a hay day, but an example would be set. :D
who cares about convictions?

orbitcat 07-07-2002, 09:13 PM I hate hearing about this kind of thing. I respect the fact that other people have worked hard to get their stuff. Some people think they deserve something for nothing and steal or think we are stupid for leaving it out, when we just think that other people should have respect like we do. I wouldn't have a problem plugging people like this and letting them rot in hell. I hope you stake it out and catch them. I will even let you borrow my 2" heavy duty PVC cutter. It would take a hand off at the wrist without any effort. Slap him with his own hand and ask him to try stealing with it again.
rockmutt 07-07-2002, 09:16 PM orbitcat; damn right, you said it:beer:
moveaside 07-07-2002, 09:50 PM That's fucked sorry to hear that. Its probably a small group doing it a lot all over. If you catch them kick the shit out of them. I'm sorry but nothing better than an asskicking to get you thinking about if you should steal anymore. I don't understand the whole concept of stealing from someone who worked hard to get what they have. How do they sleep at night.:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

I fawkin' hate theives... I could wire up an enclosed trailer with CCTV and a recorder (tape or digital) that would cover both exterior and interior if anyone was interested.
Diesel Junkie 07-07-2002, 10:11 PM I forget where indian springs is but SRC was camped at medow lake from thursday to Saturday afternoon. We only saw 2 other groups on the trail, and no other wheelers really were camped at medow.
That is some fawked up shit getting ripped off. I am always worried about leaving my stuff out in the back of the pickup/towrig, but I have been lucky so far.
we did see some sketchy characters on the trail. think it was wheelers or some random passers by that took your stuff????
BadDog 07-07-2002, 10:13 PM Don't kick their ass, they will most likely sue you, AND THEY WILL WIN. Then they'll blow the money they get from you partying while you go hungry. When they need more money, they'll go steal stuff to seel again. What's the point... :mad3:
Just kill them and dump the bodies the other side of BFE. No more stealing and they won't sue...
ToyFamily 07-07-2002, 10:21 PM That really sucks! I was up there on friday and in fact did see your riggs parked on the side of the road. I was thinking that where you were parked would be a good place for me to park my trailer when (if) I haul my son's buggy up there. No one was around when I went by. Had I seen something suspicious I would of stopped and confronted them.
I would suspect that it happened in the evening hours since there is plenty of people going back and forth during the day.
I know this is no consolation now but the next time try parking at the campground at the Cisco grove exit. It just reopened with the new owners closing esgrow only a week or two ago. They have a parking lot across from both the checkin boot and lodge where they charge only $5 per day to park your rig. It's in plane view of the campground owners/workers all hours they are there. Cisco is only 1 mile down I80 from Eagle Lakes exit. If your rig is not street legal you could drop it off at Indian Springs then go park at Cisco. I stayed at their campgrounds Thursday and Friday nite after the Carnage on the Con and I must say it is a really nice place.
Sorry to hear that there are assholes that would cut your locks off and rip people off. I hope they get caught and beatin.

moveaside 07-07-2002, 10:39 PM Actually Baddog that is a better idea but make sure they tell you where your shit is before you kill them:mad2:
Iv'e had a baja bug and a dirt bike stolen . Just want to kill somebody, fawken bastards! :mad3:
Ryno66 07-08-2002, 11:10 AM From talking to the Sherrif and some other friends that live in the Donner area, theft is a serious problem in the area! The cabins up there are broken into and even vandilized on what seems to be a weekly basis. It sounds to me like these are the same people pulling this shit! All I can say is watch your stuff and it seems to me that the parking lot at Cisco Grove is where I will be parking from here on out..............:nuke:
Rudezuk 07-08-2002, 11:21 AM I feel for you!!!
This is what i came home to this weekend.............Some one stole my car...98 Cobra!!
Green Lantern 07-08-2002, 12:46 PM That scares the sheat out of me. We were up on Fordyce this weekend also. We parked our trailer on eagle lakes road. No one messed with it. Bullsheat like that is the reason I set up camp 5 feet from my rig.
Im sorry that happened too you. I didn't notice anything, but I will ask my friends that were up there also. If we had saw something we would have beat someones a$$ for you.
RealJeepMan 07-14-2002, 10:38 PM Ryno, I just had a simalar thing happen to me. Give me a call, I would like to know what all you found out. Or I could call you.
