I owe you at least a case of  for the Bender 101 article you wrote.

Last week printed your article and started bending, fawk’d the first tube, then got busy. The last bend I blew the measurement due to the heat, and a long day. :rasta:

Result of 5 hours bending

On Sat we setup the bender and whipped out the same three hoops in an hour and half, with no mistakes.

Result of 2 hours bending

Article rocks, so the the Model 3 bender and my Miller 210 is da :nuke:

I'll throw in too.
Thanks TinBender!
Without that article, I seriously doubt my cage/body would be becoming a reality. I’ve also got an accumulating pile of scrap but, that article provides a great starting point…

Your write up made it possible for me to layout the design, which was my biggest concern. The bending is easy, it's all in the setup, then pull. I still could not build anything that requires a real technical setup. I noticed all my bends where all slightly off.

It all comes together in time..... I shudder to think how much tube I've bent over the years...

So what bender did you use, the Model 3 bender?

I was contemplating making my own cage, and was wondering what bende rI should look at... I've heard about the model 3 bender, and a couple others, just want the experienced peoples oppinion.....

Also... how much does the 2" DOM tube cost per foot?

I figure I can just rent a strong welder rather than buy one, cause I cant afford one...

There has been LOTS of talk about benders here....
But to sum it up, you simply can't beat a JD3..
The bits are cheap, and it can grow with you if you so choose (Hyd. and such)

Tube cost has gone up here in So. Cal. since the big supplier merge so it's hard to say...
You however are WAYYYYY closer to the sorce for good old AMERICAN steel.. I.E. WAYYYY cheaper....
